After attending American University in Washington D.C. with a concentration in International Business, Alex began his career as a Financial Advisor with Multi Financial Securities, a division of ING. Pursuant to his financial planning career, Alex spent nearly a decade in the Internet software industry specializing in Web-based client reporting and communications for global banking firms. First, he was Vice President of Sales with LightPort Inc. and then Vice President of Global Sales with Correctnet Inc. Alex routinely negotiated multi-million-dollar software contracts with C-level executives of Fortune 500 companies such as Goldman Sachs, Fidelity Investments, TD Ameritrade, etc.
That experience gave him a distinctive edge when entering the real estate field in 2009. For Alex, real estate has always been a passion. He has been investing in real estate since 1998, having built and renovated several condos and waterfront/estate homes. Alex turned his passion into a full-time career by becoming a licensed Realtor and founding Coastal Properties Group International in the Tampa Bay Region. Coastal Properties Group, an invitation-only boutique, is one of the area’s most successful and fastest growing real estate brokerages.
Alex, his wife, Laren, and their four children have relocated to Aspen, Colorado, to launch the Christie's International Real Estate Aspen Snowmass office. Alex spent many years skiing in Aspen/Snowmass during childhood; these fond memories precipitated this move to share the same experience with his family. In addition to the skiing, the family enjoys all that Aspen/Snowmass has to offer, hiking, biking, world class schools and cultural events. Alex speaks German and French fluently having studied for 6 years in Switzerland, France and Germany.
